Stand up for myself without shaking (I’m 33). Even people who are younger than me…. I usually just take it and cry about it later… I’m terrified to stand up for myself confro people.

I’ve never been able to touch my toes without bending my knees. But I can fold a fitted sheet!

countrygirll:

Parallel parking is easier if you resort to mathematics rather than spacial awareness. The things to adjust are how far you are from the car you are originally parallel to, and the rate at which you turn the steering wheel.  Okay, here goes.  The 45 degree method of parking.

To reverse into a space.

1.  Pull alongside the car in front of the space.  There should be about 3 – 4 ft between the two cars.

2.  Reverse straight until your the back of your car is about 1ft beyond the back of the other car.  (This 1ft will give you clearance.)  Only then do you start turning the wheel.

3.  Reverse slowly, turning the steering wheel smoothly at a medium rate until your car is at a 45 degree angle to the road.

4.  Then carry on reversing at the same speed but turn the steering wheel back to straight at exactly the same rate.

5.  When the steering wheel is straight you will be parallel parked.

This works well with my VW beetle but if you have another car you may have to adjust your distances slightly.  Of couse if you are getting too close to anything do put on the brakes.

Let me know how you get on.

I’m 27 and I still struggle with loading the dishwasher… Its not that I can’t do it, for some reason I always end up with so many dishes in the sink I just can’t seem to make it habit.

Also, I have no idea about anything that has to do with a car. Or taxes…

… Always know which way is left and right (I am dyslexic and have tried every trick and still can’t get it right every time without looking at my hands!), apply false eyelashes, keep my kitchen tidy whilst cooking…

I still can’t blow my nose. I don’t get how people do that! It seems almost physically impossible to me. Its not that I am grossed out-I just CAN’T do it. Also: I can’t type with 10 fingers and guess where I work-in administration 🙂

Supersleuth:  I guess I should have added to my post that I drive a huge Ford Excursion so I don’t really find spots large enough for it to fit lol. Thank you though, if I need to parallel park it for any reason, I will go about it mathematically.
