I recently got hired on with the local school system for a paraprofessional position (essentially a teaching assistant), and I have to go down to the HR office tomorrow to fill out paperwork and who knows what else. They said it’s going to take all morning, but didn’t say why. It’s just called a “paperwork session.”
So, my question is: what do I wear?? I won’t be working with any of these people, and I’m already hired so I won’t be interviewing, but I don’t want to underdress either. Anyone (especially teacher bees!) have any suggestions?

I would wear what you would usually wear to work. You’re still doing business stuff, so I wouldn’t go excessively casual.

mepayne: I wore a suit when I went to sign my contract / do paperwork but that was because they had me meet with the superintendent as well. I would go with black dress pants, a nice shirt and a cardigan/sweater/blazer. It’s always better to be overdressed than under dressed!
