So I had my final fitting yesterday and I thought things were going fine. I’m not a particularly fussy girl and when I put it on, everything appears to be what it should be. I’m told to stop losing weight because the corset won’t close any further if I do. However I have been toning and lost two pounds. I didn’t think the seamstress would notice, but apparently she notices everything. >.>
Anyway I danced a little in it, walked in it, wore it for a bit, and things seems good. Then my Maid/Matron of Honor asked me if I’m sure everything is good because this is my last chance to say something. I looked a little bit more and said everything seems fine. I did point out the wrinkling under my breasts, but the seamstress said that my dress is two layers so all I have to do is straighten out the top layer lace and it’ll be fine.
But now I can’t stop thinking about it! (Edit: as in can’t stop thinking about my Maid/Matron of Honor warning me to be sure everything is fine. I’m having fuzzy brain today.) Maybe I didn’t obsess over the dress enough? Now I’m scared I was too casual at my final fitting!
So I figure maybe if I put it on here, people can reassure me it’s okay? My Fiance and my dad wants the dress to be a surprise and I can’t put on the dress by myself because of the corset. So I’m left looking at the pictures, but maybe I’m not seeing something? I thought I looked fine. I’m worried I’m getting obsessive about it and if things are fine, I just want to move on to the five bajillion other things I have to take care of.
(Pictures are also so weird in that when I was at the dress fitting appointment, I was marveling at my waist being smaller than I thought it was. But now I look at the pictuers and was like, that wasn’t how I thought my waist looks! I guess I was just awashed in that glow of the moment, haha.)

I see what you mean about the wrinkling, but I know nothing about tailoring/alterations so I can’t say if it should be there or not. But I wanted to say you look gorgeous! Enjoy your wedding day!

You look amazing, and I’m pretty sure we’re dress twins!

naturalflight: Stunning dress and I love the sash. I can see a little wrinkling but that may be overcome by the dress being pressed. It’s lovely, you’ll be getting some ooh’s and aaah’s for sure 🙂

islandtime: Thank you! I trust the seamstress and I suspect the belt causes the fabric to move. And I think I did straighten out the wrinkle a bit, but now I’m not sure if I did or did it enough. My Maid/Matron of Honor did see it too and said that it’s fine and nobody’s going to notice.
Isis32: Thank you! 😀 It’s Maggie Sottero Ascher.

CatyLady: That’s true! The seamstress steamed it a bit after I took it off, but said that I should probably do some steaming myself. I bought a travel steamer and will try to do that myself the night before the wedding.
And thank you for your kind words! 😀
I guess I’m just worried. It’s the most expensive outfit I’ve ever bought with the most expensive alterations I’ve ever paid for. So I just worry I didn’t pay sufficient enough attention to it.

It looks great on you! I loved Ascher too, especially with the belt. Great pic!

mrsbrizz2017: Thank you! 😀 And yeah, that belt really makes the dress.

You should be able to put a stitch so the two layers don’t move and cause this wrinkling under the bust.

naturalflight: It looks gorgeous. Really beautiful.

naturalflight: Could you try it on again with the seamstress there so the conversation around the wrinkle happens naturally and isn’t then forced or awkward? Just so your mind could be put at rest.

naturalflight: I think you look amazing in your dress!
Was your Maid/Matron of Honor hinting that she sees something that should be taken care of? Or just wanting you to be sure? I don’t see the wrinkle being that big of a deal

I think my Maid/Matron of Honor was just trying to remind me, but then I got crazy paranoid in the morning thinking that maybe she thinks I’m not paying sufficient attention. I did point out the wrinkle and both the seamstress and Maid/Matron of Honor said it’s fine. I just can’t see anything else wrong with my dress.
But I’m glad to hear the dress looks fine! I think as the wedding approaches, my stress level has gone up and I start to get worried about everything. So I really appreciate people reassuring me it looks good. Thank you!

You look amazing in it! We are dress twins! i go for my first fitting on friday since the initial consult. we ended up having to take the corset out so I am pretty anxious to see what it looks like now. I am loving your necklace with it as well. I was originally thinking about wearing pears but am in love with yours!

I really only see it in the last photo. And you’re kind of in a weird position since you’re taking a photo. I wouldn’t stress about it. I think you look beautiful!
