I’m seriously not fishing for compliments or wanting any smoke blown up my ass. I saw these pictures and I am unhappy with the way I look. Which sucks because I have lost 25 lbs since I bought the dress and I am now within several pounds of my “happy weight”. Honest opinions please???
1st picure Before- when I ordered the dress (25lbs heavier)
Last 2 pictures- at the final fitting (she had to take it in 2 sizes)
What do you think? Should I just chill the f*ck out or would you change anything? And I have GOT to get some pictures without my dorky glasses.

@Penelopeee: Keep looking at your photos until you see a beautiful bride who looks radiantly happy and in great shape!! When you lose weight it sometimes takes a while to get used to the new image in the mirror. You look fabulous.

You look beautiful! If you haven’t done so already, go check out the Three Part thread on Show Me Your Before and After. It just goes to show that hair/makeup/jewelry will make an enormous impact on the way you feel about the final product.
Your figure is gorgeous. Congrats on losing 25!

@Penelopeee: Relax!!! You seriously look stunning. You looked amazing in the before, and you look amazing in the after! You’ve done a lot of hard work to drop those 25 lbs and you can absolutely see the difference, but you’ve got to give yourself a break.
I think you’re being WAY harsh and over-critical of yourself. No offense, but it’s got to be a mental thing, because you look incredible. I know what it’s like, and I get that in your own mind, you won’t be happy until you’ve lost those last few pounds, but remember that those last few pounds aren’t noticeable to ANYONE but you.
You look great. Give yourself some credit!

You look amazing. Actually, you looked great before – but congrats on the weight loss. Wouldn’t change a thing!

@Penelopeee: You look great!! I absolutely LOVE the lace that you added – it looks like it was made to be a part of the dress and really adds that WOW factor!

My reaction when I saw your pictures:
You look fantastic!!! Your figure is to die for and I totally want to steal your lace bolero, so pretty!
Get a new mirror, the one you have clearly isn’t doing its job 😉

Girl, you look great.
I’m sure you are overthinking this because we all want to feel flawless on our wedding days. I get that. But honestly, the dress is beautiful (love the sleeves!) and it fits you perfectly. So…RELAX! 🙂

No, I wouldn’t change anything. I think you look great! Congrats on the weight loss!

Thanks everyone. I am just feeling really broad and top heavy and don’t feel like I look very proportioned. I don’t know if it’s in my head or what but it’s all I can see when I look at the pictures.
Maybe have my Maid/Matron of Honor cinch the corset tighter on the wedding day? Or I was thinking of adding a brooch to the side of the waist after the ceremony (I’m taking the bolero off after the ceremony). I just don’t know….
Does anyone else know or see what I am talking about?

I love it! you look great! The only thing I would change is to add some crinolin or underskirt to the bottom to make it pouf at the bottom more. I think it would change the proportions a little.

I think broad shoulders are very high fashion! If they bother you though, I second @MrsTVLover‘s idea of adding a crinoline to poof out the bottom of the dress, this way you’d correct the proportions and look more like an hourglass and less like an inverted pyramid. Cinching the waist tighter might help too, and adding some sparkly detail around your waist to draw the attention away from your shoulders might help too once you remove the bolero.
But even if you do absolutely nothing you’ll still look amazing!
