have the rsvp due date by july 25… that way u still have time to call people who havent rsvped…( also on the back of ur rsvps u should have a number and make sure that number goes in sync with the guest lists so if u can read their hand writting or dont have a return label on them u still know who it is…  i am ocd about sending things way in advance.. so being me i would say april or may- for a september wedding…. i sent my invites beginning of feb for june wedding..

wow that’s really far in advance. i didn’t need my final headcount until a week before the wedding.

but i would say have the rsvp date by late july like pp suggested! then you can track down anyone who doesn’t rsvp in time!

Did you send Save the Dates? If not, I would send them now! I just sent out my invitations this week for my July destination wedding.

I would request RSVP’s for July 22. That’s 60 days before your wedding and not that early IMO. I requested mine for May 9, but mine is also destination so most people should know if they’re traveling by then…

If that’s when the venue requires the head count that’s when the venue requires the head count and your guests will just have to comply. I like the suggestion a PP said about numbering each RSVP too. And maybe consider offering an online RSVP option as well so guests can RSVP quickly and easily right up to the last minute?
