So I tossed around guest book ideas with my fiance and he wasn’t a fan of them, especially not the butterfly one. Go figure.
So it’s back to square one for picking out guest book ideas. I want something we can hang on our wall for a decoration piece and we’ve got two ideas he likes and I like so winner is the choice.
He and I are both drummers. He’s much better but none the less we both really enjoy playing the drums. So he’s having a drum cake made for the grooms cake and we will have two drum sticks engraved with our wedding date and names. Our idea is to have about 3 drum heads for the guests to sign and frame them with the two drum sticks in a box frame.
We both painted our aisle runner. It’s really pretty and we love it. We were considering, since there isn’t anything else to do with the aisle runner after the ceremony we were thinking of cutting the monogram out of the aisle runner and having the guests sign it and having it framed for the wall.
So which idea do you like more? Winner gets chosen since we can’t decide!

In a tie here…. Need some votes to decide 🙂

Both ideas are great, I can see why it is difficult to decide! I would go for the drum heads, because it is a unique idea and meaningful to you both. Also, it may be a bit cumbersome to worry about who is cutting out the monogram after the ceremony, etc.

I like the drum idea, and you could still cut out and frame the monogram with no signatures afterward. But at least this way you are sure to get a guestbook, because there is a chance that something bad could happen to the runner before you got the chance to get it signed

I really like the drum idea. I have never heard or seen that around where I live. It definitey shows you and your FI’s personalities! I love how different it is. It is so fun and unique.

Thank you ladies! Drummer idea it is! Maybe we’ll use the runner for the backdrop in the frame with the drum heads and sticks, we’ll see 🙂
