I’m slowly making decisions about the overall look of our day, and I found a pair of shoes that were the EXACT color I’ve been looking for!
I’m so excited! I ordered the shoes from Zappos last night and they’ll be arriving sometime whis week. 😀 Yay!
Here’s my dress (still don’t have a photo of myself in it yet…):
Here are the shoes:
That match my blue diamond e-ring:
My flower inspiration (imagine the first bouquet it without the feathers):
(I do know matching my shoes to my e-ring is insane…Haha)
Honestly, what do you think about it all?

Crap!! I accidentally voted “this is awful” so that one vote is from me! I wanted to click that i LOVE IT! Eek!

@MsMonkey- HAHA When I saw the vote I thought, “Aw, I hope whoever hated it explains why!” And then read your post. 😉
@MrsKennedytoBe- Thank you!

I love the look. You are going to look so sweet and romantic!

I like the look you are going for I just think the floral colors and your shoes will clash. Just my opinion though.

@chefdori- My Fiance had asked that I incorporate the color orange, so to soften it I have chosen to mix in yellows and peaches. Because orange, yellow, and peach are such hot, bright colors, I decided that I needed something to cool them down. I chose orange’s complement- blue accents (which uncoincidentally matches my e-ring) and will be present in different shades throughout the decor. Which part would you change?
ETA- Haha I guess I didn’t really need to explain my choices, I could have you asked you what you’d change. Sorry for being long winded!

I would change the shoes, get something more vintage inspired. Maybe some peep-toe pumps. Other than that I love it all and especially the combo of colours. Unexpected but beautiful

i love it! except i think a cute wedge with lace and more natural color would pull it all together much better if your going for more of an intimate romance feel..but thats just my opinion, either way im sure will look great 🙂

I most definitely am still keeping my shoe options open, which is why I ordered those from Zappos. 🙂 It was the color that I felt I couldn’t pass up, but you’re right; something a bit less modern would go with the dress better. I wonder if I could find vintage inspired shoes in that shade of blue? I’ll also keep an open mind about other colors; a less extreme color may look nice too. The hunt is on!

I hope blue and orange/peach don’t clash, cause thats’ pretty much my wedding theme, too! 😉

@bookworm88- I feel the same way. I’ve had my heart set on this color combo for 2 years. Besides, it’s too late to change it now! 😉

I love it! And I think the color combination will work well 🙂
Here is a suggestion for a slightly less contemporary shoe in the same color, that I love. (Though I’m not sure it is exactly “antique”). It says 3 pairs left, but I’ve seen them for sale on a couple different websites.

I love it! Is that an actual “blue diamond” or is it a sapphire gemstone?
I think blue and orange go really well together.
Also, I think the shoes thepainter just posted are super cute and may fit your theme better.

@thepainter: That pair of shoes are beautiful and just what I had in mind. It’s over my budget though (I don’t want to spend any more than $50). Thank you so much for the link though, I’ll stalk those babies and hope they go on sale. Haha
@knitterbear: Yep! It sure is a blue diamond! 🙂
