Hahaha – I had a friend ask me how I’m affording our reception site…since the prices are all up on the website!!  I did think it was odd he had looked…why do you care?

unless she is planning her own wedding and wants to know the price for her own research, that’s just weird. and rude. although i must say, when it comes to other brides, i sometimes wish people would be more open about what they are paying. people and vendors can be so close-mouthed when it comes to prices, so i end up shocked every time i see a quote.

LOL I am not surprised. People have been wondering how much we are spending and how we can afford stuff. lol Someone asked my Aunt how my dressed looked.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she emails your photographer pretending to be a bride just to find out the price since she’s going as far to check out the website

creeper much?  jeez.

Even if they do you don’t always know which package or deal you’re getting.  Sometimes you have coupons/referrals or individual pricing packages.

@ddw:  I know – I’m always weird about finances too!  I just don’t like to share, because I don’t think it’s anyone’s business.  This friend of ours who was asking, he was completely earnest and meant well.  But I dont’ ask you how you afford whatever it is you spend your money on, why is it ok when it’s a wedding?

@DDW: Agreed that it’s good the pricing isn’t posted!  Our videographer worked with us on pricing and knocked $2k off the price!  If anyone looked it up they would think we paid a lot more than we did.  (And why on earth would anyone do that?)

That is so weird!  An acquaintance told me that my Boyfriend or Best Friend shouldn’t buy my engagement ring from a chain store because “people” (I’m sure she meant her!) would look up how much it cost!!  Who is THAT desperate or rude?  Just ridiculous!
