@wishingonadream04: I think that ring is gorgeous!  It is very elegant but not over the top.

My SO has concerns about an e-ring being set too high and interfering with daily activities.  He has already been scratched by my p-ring and doesn’t want me to have a ring that its too high set.  After seeing a few settings and how high they are, he admitted that I could always take my e-ring off if it really got in the way.

A few things you could do in an attempt to convince your SO. . .1.  You could seek out some rings with higher settings and point out how much lower the diamond is set in your dream ring.  2.  Compare it to a standard 4 prong solitaire, and he’ll see that it’s not all that high set.  3.  Point out to him that higher set diamonds tend to look a bit larger as well.  4.  Look at a several different rings, and go back to that one. . .this way he’ll know that you REALLY like that ring.  🙂

Show your mom exactly what you want…My SO asked me to email him pics of the ring I would like…which makes me VERY happy!!!  I think that if you are going to be wearing it everyday you should be in love with it!!
