It’s so beautiful, congratulations. I had to wait 5 weeks for my ring to arrive and it was a really anxious wait as it was from an online jeweller, so I didn’t get to try it on beforehand. I was so worried it wouldn’t turn out right! Hopefully you can be happy in the knowledge that you know you love your ring already ๐Ÿ™‚

artsyhoneybee :  Hey Bee! I am in the same boat as you ( I am the planner too!). I have been banned from asking any type of engagement-related questions to both my partner AND/OR my best friends until further notice!

My partner and I went to the jeweller’s to have an heirloom stone re-set.. they told us 2-3 weeks.. and then the setting had some bubbles in the metal so it took another 2-3 weeks.. and then the (family business) jeweller went on vacation for 1 week, and just got back this week and if I don’t get my baby soon I’m gonna lose it! Haha! My apologies for the run-on sentence. This is probably the worst part of waiting – when it’s sooooo close you can taste it. Some of my friends told me it would be a good idea to just keep my nails in perfect condition until our engagement party ( which yes, it is already planned for late October..no shame!). The only way I have been keeping sane is by throwing myself into engagement party planning, and looking up photographers and photo ideas for our engagement shoot.

Love the ring by the way ๐Ÿ™‚

Wow, I really love this, it’s pretty similar to what my “dream ring” is…do you mind sharing the specs?

Also, congratulations!

Alot of the time frame depends on the jeweler, sometimes it can take several months of design and sometimes it can be done in just a few weeks. You have a pretty straight forward design so I wouldn’t anticipate it taking very long. I have a three stone dream ring as well, they are so great!

That’s going to be STUNNING! As for waiting… just “enjoy” the anticipation, I guess!

Mine took maybe 6 weeks? Not exact on the timeframe. It was definitely a month at the very least.

I did a lot of wedding research in that time. I am a planner too, and talking to vendors really gave me a sense of reassurance regarding how to handle logistics of the wedding. Now that we’ve secured the venue, I feel everything else will fall in place and my wedding brain finally calmed down. I needed this distraction to keep me from second guessing the ring design, worrying about whether it would turn out right, etc. The frenzy is real.

I love that. I was between an emerald and a round when I was shopping, so pretty. I don’t know how to tell you how to be patient, I lost of god damn mind while I was waiting for mine lol

I don’t have any advice on getting the ring made. Mine was vintage and just happened to fit perfectly ๐Ÿ™‚

I just wanted to drop in to say your ring is GORGEOUS. It’s very stunning and unique. I love it!
