Today has been a month since I hit 50lbs lost so I knew that it was gone for good and not just water weight. It’s been a long 2 and a 1/2 years, but I did it in my time and as healthy as I could.
Before (best picture I could find, I avoided a camera like the plague): 199-200 lbs
After (proving to my mom that I wore short shorts in public): 144-147 lbs
Still would like to lose another 15-20 but I know that as long as I work for it, it will slowly come off and stay off

What steps did you take? Diet first, then exercise? Or all at once?

I don’t think you should try to lose another 15-20 pounds. I can tell by the photo that you have a tiny waist and you look really good. you don’t want to lose too much weight because it could harm you in the long run. (my mom worked out and dieted a little too much in her 30s-50s and now she can barely walk a mile. she has ruined her knees & feet. just a little tale of warning for ya.)
you look amazing in that photo, and your figure is quite enviable!! my advice is to just maintain that lovely figure. nice work!

Congrats!!! I’m curious to know what you did to loose it. I’m trying to loose about 25lbs in 11 months. I’m trying to make small changes, eating a light breakfast (never use to eat breakfast), and doing some kind of work out for at least a half hour a day. Any motivational advice?

I ended up spending about 4 months in Ireland right as I realize how big I was, so my first step was having to walk everywhere and just watching what I was eating and what my triggers for eating where. I’m an emotional and bored eater and I told my DH that and he watches out for me and if he notices I’m eating not out of hunger he’ll distract me from the food. I honestly couldn’t have done this without him
Everyone else: Thank you so much for the compliments! The hardest thing is on my bad days I still see the top picture girl in the mirror and it sucks but I’m working through it
