After a few years fo trying to get pregnant again, hubby and I found out were are having our thrid little minchkin! The excitement quickly turned to worry when I started to bleed a few weeks ago, and then even more worry when a scan found I had a heamatoma which was growing, and as the sonographer put it, “borderline big”, baby’s heartrate was high, and the bledding had me in a panic…
I thought to myself things were not going to work out, I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past and I figured my body just wouldn’t be going through with this. I’ve had really bad nausea and morning sickness (more like 24/7 sickness) for weeeeeks now, oh and super human sense of smell which makes me feel gross all the time, plus I think I now have my second uti for this pregnancy, so needless to say I have been feeling like absolute crap and not letting myself even hope that things would work out.
BUT… today was my nuchal translucency scan and there was the little trouble maker, jumping around without a care in the world. My haematoma has shrunk to half it’s size and the obsterician said it’s nothing to worry about, because it is now so small and not impacting the baby at all! Plus all my nuchal tests came back as good as they can, so baby seems to be doing perfectly.
I feel like I can finally begin to enjoy this pregnancy, even though I still feel sick, and finally excited to start telling people about it =)))))))))
