I just completed both of my girls dresses, and I am so glad they are done. I was going to put straps on one of them, but when I did a mock up, it was just too much and took away from the dress.
These are both strapless. The boleros/jackets will probably only be worn for the ceremony.
I only have a couple more DIYs to do, so I am also happy about that.

So pretty! Can I be in your wedding? 😀

I cannot believe you actually made these. They do look like one’s you find at a bridal store. Congrats! Honestly, at first I thought that there was an illusion neckline and I was like holy crap. But I can’t have everything now can I? Fine job!

@Mrs Grape: Thank you 🙂
Sorry, you can’t be in the wedding. It is going to be a very small wedding 🙂
@heather25: Thank you 🙂 I am now making dresses/gowns for other people, so that is a very nice compliment.
I probably could have put in an illusion neckline, but I honestly didn’t think about it. It would be a nice addtion to the dress though 🙂

Wow, great job! You should be very proud of yourself!
I too am making my bridesmaid’s dresses. Most people seem to think I’m nuts for doing it, but I think my girls are quite pleased at the low cost.

@CantWaittillMAY: Yes, I did make them. The pattern called for the overskirt to made from tulle, but I chose to use organza instead. It was a bit harder to work with, but well worth the end result 🙂
@trugem: Thank you 🙂
@Miss Tattoo: lol, thank you 🙂
@kayakblondie: Thank you. I am very proud of myself 🙂
Congratulations on making your girl’s dresses. I would love to see pictures of your progress. I know when I was looking for gowns/dresses for my girls, the gowns/dresses that I loved were way out of our price range. Then I had an “oh duh” moment, and decided to make them myself.
