I always love seeing everyone’s dress polls 🙂
I have done quite a lot of shopping and would love to know what you think.
I love both of these dresses and would be happy to wear either one on my big day, but I will also carry on looking in the New Year to see what else is out there.
I would really value your opinions! Particularly on the Tara Keely… it’s several sizes too small and so is affecting my judgement. The first dress is by Jean Fox and is only one size too small.

I like the first one better than the second, but still say keep looking.

I know this doesn’t help BUT…I think both would look great on you when they’re altered to fit you. I like the sash of the first one better but the skirt of the second better. Ahh!

I like number 1 better, but I agree with pp who said keep looking!

neither of those seem right for you, keep looking
you have a nice body so don’t let the two small aspect throw you off, you’ll find the right dress

Take this with a grain of salt, but I don’t like the mermaid shape on you; I feel like you could do much better than either of these dresses.

i think you can do better. these are not doing it for me. how do you feel about them?

Hi Bees, thanks for your honesty! I really value your opinions.
In terms of how I feel about them, I thought I’d narrowed it down to the mermaid shape as I feel I have broad shoulders and a big chest and felt that having a bit of oomph at the bottom balances me out, and a belt draws me in at the waist…
…any ideas on other dresses/silhouettes I could try? I’m after something a bit different with not too much bling. Help!

I think dress one is the better of the twoc but I’d love a comparison photo of you in a different silhouette:) Who knows, ball gowns might flatter you more!

I think the drop waist cuts your stomach in a weird way, honestly. I think you should try a different cut!

I’m not a fan of either really. If I had to pick I’d say the first bc the second one …..I’m not a fan of the transition of the skirt on you

Have you tried on an a-line?

I loved Justin Alexander 8560. It was differnt but still classic and looked great with a belt, although I wouldn’t have worn the portrait collar. However, I found an almost identical dress, AA 2384. In the stock pictures they don’t look the same, but on the do. Both are pretty blank slates so you could do something different with them. What I loved about both was the shape. They’re a small Aline almost a fit in flare and I just felt great in them! Happy shopping

I am in love with the first one on you! I’m not a fan of where the second dress splits off into the skirt, if that helps any.

If I had to choose, I say #1. But, I prefer a natural waistline (I’ve never been a big fan of dropped waists – I don’t like the silhouette).
