We’ve I’ve been scouring the internet for months, searching for a budget friendly, indoor venue in the city [whew!]. We visited two places that were really awesome, but WAY out of budget. Another place that was closer to budget, but outside. And finally, today, after three months of being engaged, we found them! The ceremony will be at a villa located in a park. For four hours [we won’t need anywhere near that much time] it’ll only cost us $350. Woo!
Here’s the view from the parking lot.
The back. We probably won’t use this since we’re paranoid about it raining, but it sure is pretty.
They were having a day camp this week, so ignore all the people [except my daughter right in the middle], but this is where the ceremony will be. I think they said we could do rows of four on each side. I’m already imagining what we could use as a backdrop on that awesome wall!
Ok, now to the reception. We’re having that at a local brewery. They have this really pretty room above their bar. These pictures don’t do it justice. They’re adding a second stairway, so there was construction work. By the time our wedding rolls around over a year away, it’ll be way done. This place will cost us $800 for however long we want to be there plus tables, chairs, and linens.
The bar upstairs in the room [as opposed to the larger one downstairs].
Then I got a few pictures of the brewery/bar downstairs just because it looks really cool. We’ll only have use of the upstairs.
Then, not only did we get to look around, we came back later during normal business hours and got to sample all their different beers…for free! How awesome is that?!
So, it’s now official. I can start really planning other aspects of the wedding now that the date is set and we’ve picked the venues. Hooray!
