I finally get to post some (for now crappy cellphone) pics of my heirloom rings. 😀
I inherited some jewelery from my late grandmother, I was 14 years old when she died. Needless to say I didn’t care about her jewelery at all back then and only became interested in it after my now husband and I started shopping for my e-ring and our wedding bands. I have to admit, had I looked and my grandmother’s rings before than, I’m pretty sure I would have to liked to use one as my e-ring. I immediatelly fell in love with a solitair and an eternity band, but unfortunatelly they were a few sizes too big for me to wear.
Last week I finally took them to a goldsmith (I luckily happen to live near one, like a walk of 5mins away) to have them resized and redipped and picked them up yesterday! I also had him modify the base of the solitair on one side to sit flush with the eternity band or any other ring I choose to wear it with. Mind you, this is not my wedding set. Where I come from, we wear our wedding bands on our right hands and rarely with an e-ring (although I do). But I like to wear both my “new” rings on my left ring finger and enjoy looking married on this hand also. 😉 Plus I really enjoy the look of this classy and timeless combination.
