So, ladies, I’m very excited, because I’m just finishing up my last cycle on bcp. We’re not ttc until May on our official honeymoon. I’m mostly excited though because I’ve had ZERO sex drive and I’m hoping this will help, along with a better mood/attitude. How long did it take you before you noticed changes after going off the pill?

Very exciting! It’s different for everybody – a bit depends on your cycle pre-pill, but then there’s a little luck.. if you’re not already, maybe just try keeping track of your post-pill cycles to give you an idea on length and ovulation and all that – for when you’re ready to officially TTC. 🙂

@jaguar: I’ve always been pretty regular. I was on the pill for 3 years, then took a good 6 months off before i met my now husband. And was regular then. So I’m sure my cycles should hopefully behave the same. However, I’ve noticed this last time (on the same pill) that I’d been more moody and my sex drive tanked. So that’s more where I’m hoping to see some immediate changes. ha
But I am starting to track starting now. Just started my period today, so we’ll see how it goes!

I noticed a change pretty quickly….or at least within 30 days or so…my sex drive improved. Plus, my periods never got back to the way they were before BCP, so they are still lighter and don’t last as long. Congrats!

@Miss Orchard: Well that all sounds great! I know the hubs isn’t excited for condoms again for a few months, but he’ll love the return of my lost sex drive. 🙂

I just finished up my last pack a couple weeks ago and we will be NTNP starting in May! I’m already beginning to notice my sex drive slowly coming back and I’ve only been off of BC a couple weeks. Yay for us ditching the BC! 🙂
