Most people wear regular briefs or boy shorts in a neutral color. Bring your strapless bra (obviously).

Bring a good clip that you can use to put your hair up quickly and securely.

At your first visit, try on all silhouettes, even if you have only cut out pictures of one sillhouette.  Things look VERY different on your body.  Don’t go into the first appointment thinking you will find your dress.

If bringing people, make sure they know not to hold things up with too, too much discussion.  You want to get through as many dresses as possible during that first appointment.

Yay! Have a ton of fun! I’d say bring a notepad and pen, that way you can take notes (i.e. write down designers and style numbers if you want to remember dresses you liked). As for underwear, I went with a strapless bra and spanx. It was perfect. Some places only carry bras up to a size C, and I’m boarderline C/D, so I thought it was easier to bring my own strapless bra and not have to worry that they wouldn’t have one that fit. Spanx just helped me feel less self-conscious stripping in front of my friend and consultant. I felt a little more covered up, plus everything stayed in place, and the gowns looked really smooth on me. ๐Ÿ™‚

be open to trying one’s that you think are not it. It’s different seeing a dress on a hanger than on you. You never know, you may end up loving it.

I went in orange panties and forgot a strapless bra, period, and it still turned out fabulous! Most places have bras anyway in case you forget ๐Ÿ™‚ My best advice is not to over do…by that I mean don’t take a lot of people with you. Take 3-4 max because everyone has such firm opinions on bridal wear! If you have to take more, remember your own comfort and feelings are the most important. I cannot stress this enough: have an awesome friend take a pic of EVERY SINGLE DRESS YOU TRY ON FRONT AND BACK. I had 80 pictures coming out of my dress appointment because of an awesome friend and because of this I bought a dress I didn’t really give a second look to when I tried it on! But in the pictures I realized how beautiful it was and how perfect it fit me and how it accentuated everything good about me—exactly as it should!!!! A couple ones I thought I really loved did *not* look so hot in the pictures lol. Needless to say, I went back in (alone, mind you) to try it on and bought it and am SO happy! I couldn’t have done it without the pics! I hope you have a fabulous time and you find exactly what you are looking for! Enjoy the hell out of it!!!!
