After 6 long months, my dress is in! I love it! I haven’t done alterations yet and I am waiting a little while so I can lose a few extra lbs but there are a couple of things I would like to do to make the dress perfect. I think I might like more of an illusion on the back. Would it be possible to remove some of that fabric underneath the lace to make the illusion go down deeper? Just a few inches. This was the only thing about the dress that I wasn’t 100% sold on when I bought it because I LOVED the deep illusion back of a different dress that day. Also, when I bought the dress the consultant told me I was right on the line of a size 10 but that my butt might be too big so she warned me about doing any squatting or booty exercises. So I was so scared it would be too tight on my butt and now I’m looking at it and I wish it were a lot more fitted there. I know once I do alterations it will fit better obviously but I’m wondering if I could have it taken in right under the butt to make the dress take on more of a subtle trumpet shape but I’m not sure how that would work since the top layer is a sheer overlay. If not I guess I can go against her advice and do lots of booty toning workouts to make it really pop!
