I’d love to see a pic of your Tacori, I just love Tacori designs. Good to hear that your story turned out well!

Damn. I would have died! I make sure When I get them looked at to stand right there watching.  I wouldn’t trust leaving my rings with anyone.

Soldering is awesome!! I soldered mine 3 weeks before my wedding because I knew my rings would spin and scratch each other. Also, I wanted them to stand straight together because there is a gap between e-ring and band. Best decision ever!!

Thanks for sharing what you learned about the darker diamond effect from dirt. Interesting…:)

it’s really not that big of a risk.  the heated up / discolored lotion that escaped their attention would not have caused any permanent damage to metal or diamonds. like your jeweler said, it’s just that it was in a hard to clean spot.

by the way, even though you asked them to not replate their ring, they did it because the process of soldering a ring causes any plating to slide right off. but since you asked them not to do it, they should have told you before they proceeded!

I’m glad they fixed it for you! looks great!

Thanks for posting your set! I have the same Tacori engagement ring and i’m debating between the curved band or the straight one. I still have some time to think about it though. But it’s nice to see how one of the options look.

Wow, such a beautiful set. Good for you that you spoke up. Tacori is synonymous for quality. The jeweler should not have even suggested otherwise. Again, a beautiful wedding set.

@RobotBabooshka:  I am curious where you went for the soldering. I live in Sonoma County andI have been considering this as well.
