Eating a piece of wedding cake has been my dream for years. I posted before about every wedding I attended, something happened and no cake was served. So in my head it had become a big deal. When we decided on a wedding ceremony for 2, I told my Fiance the only thing I care about is can we please have a cake!?
Today was the day!
I decided early on that I wanted to use a local baker who I met a few years ago, she’s done several birthday cakes for me. Her cakes are amazingly delicious. And also incredibly beautiful. Ours is very simple, but I’m 100% confident it will be lovely.
She offered me a taste test and while my Fiance couldn’t attend because he’s still sick, I went, and had an amazing time.
Wedding cake is just as delicious as I always hoped it would be! <3
She set up a sample tray, and from left to right:
Frosting: chocolate, cream cheese, strawberry, vanilla, cookies n cream
Cake: red velvet, marble, vanilla, chocolate
I orderd her smallest 2 tier. The top tier is chocolate with cannoli cream, and the bottom tier is red velvet with cream cheese. It was a very fun bridal experience and I’m so glad I got to do this. It’s official! Contract signed, deposit paid, I’m getting cake soon! I’m so happy right now.
