- Wedding: April 2012
Although the day was far from perfect. I got to marry my best friend and the love of my life!
The days leading up to the wedding were super stressful because of the weather. The weekend before it topped out at 91 degrees but a storm system was coming in with rain, strong winds and temperatures in the low 60s Our wedding was planned for outdoors with no back up plan.
My poor decorater put up some decor the day before only to have it be blown down overnight by 30 to 40 per mile winds. A lot of her stuff was damaged so the day of the wedding she scrambled to get as much decorations up as possibe but some things were forgotten.
We were lucky because the rain had stopped but it was windy and cold so a lot of people left after just 2 hours. It didn’t help that my Mother-In-Law started cleaning up and putting things away an hour after the ceremony! People took that as a sign that things were winding down. WTH? My DJ, photogs and videographer were hired to stay till 11pm! Because of these factors most people on DHs side had left by 7:30 it was totally over by 9pm. 🙁 🙁 🙁
Despite the negatives we had a wonderful time. My best friend sadly could not be there because of a family emergency but another close friend stepped up and came through for me in every way possible.
Without further adieu here are a lot of non pro picks a couple of friends took.
My daughter and I waiting to take the walk
My daughter and son just before walking down the aisle
Headed toward the aisle with my handsome son
Just after the I dos!
Some pics taken during our first look (which I didn’t want to do By The Way but because of the weather I gave in. It did take away the magical feeling of walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time.) 🙁
not such a great pic of me but my bouquet looks pretty. LOL
My littte girl and me 🙂
My MOH/SIL and her kids my Flower Girl and Ring Bearer
Friends (they are ten years younger but I can hold my own) 😉 LOL
I had an amazing DJ who tried like hell to keep people from leaving. He was very entertaining, helped with everyting and changed outfits to match songs, danced and interacted with guests. Oh well, those who left missed out!
Oh wow I got carried away. hehe I can’t wait for the pro pics.
Thank you Bee’s for everything! You guys ROCK!
