I don’t think this is the best sillhouette on you. I would say keep looking. Sorry.

I think you could probably find a dress that is more flattering to your figure, and one that emphasizes and enhances your curves better.

I like the Divina dress but I don’t think a mermaid fit is for everyone.

I actually really like it! I think it would look great once it was properly sized around the bust. If you love it, go for it.

SkinnyLatte17:  The only reason I am going to say no, is because you appear to be a little top heavy and it does not fit well there. I know a good seamstress can fix the top, but without seeing it fit you there it is hard to say.

Other than that, I think you look great in the dress.

I think sized properly it will be fabulous and that neckline will look great on your chest! When I tried on the sample of my dress it was too small and you could tell, I loved it anyways, ordered it in the right size and it’s aaaammmaaazing. I’d say go for it!

Eh, I think you could do better.  I don’t love the severe mermaid on you.  I would look for more of a trumpet or fit and flare…. still curve hugging through the waist/hips, but a gentler curve out to the skirt.  I am shaped similarly, and I found that silhouette to be the most flattering!

I also think you would look lovely in another style dress. It’s tough to tell from the photo, but it looks like you have an hourglass figure with long legs and a short torso (also called high hips…it’s a good thing!!!). I also have a relatively short torso compared to my legs, and that style didn’t work for me either. It certainly doesn’t look bad, but you could defnitely find something that better flatters your nice waistline and curves.

I’m not loving it! I have a verrry similiar body shape/type and found some mermaids that were BAM and others that were “meh”. I think this is one of the ones to pass on. The colour is lovely on you though! I know it would be more flattering in your size/fitted to you, but I think my issue with it is where it flares out. I think the change from midsection to ruffled bottom is too low and too severe on you.

I personally dont like the divina, on anyone, and can’t figure out how it got so popular or y ppl keep buying it. I’d say it’s not THE dress.

I’m sorry, but all I can think of is a flamenco dancer.

Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of the Divina in general.  I think that you have a gorgeous curvy body and this dress isn’t the “wow” dress that it should be on you. It makes your waist look tiny, but just kind of stops there….I also love the sweetheart on you, and the blush color.  I just wish the cut wasn’t so severe.  Maybe a trumpet style, or a drop waist instead of the mermaid?  I think that there is something better out there.

However, all of that aside, what do YOU think?  It’s your day my dear, you need to love the dress you wear!
