After a lot of back and forth over the last 6 months we have finally decided on a venue!
We ended up narrowing our guestlist down to 75, but we have room to go up to 108. We didn’t give too much information about the venue to either set of parents because of the way things went last time (everyone had something to say about something).
It’s a bit more than what we wanted to spend but I think in the end we’re not really going to get a much better price anywhere else. Fiance tends to be the frugal one but he clearly has expensive taste!
The venue: George restaurant in Toronto. We’ll be doing the ceremony in their courtyard.

THAT IS STUNNING! Kind of green with envy over that place, it just looks so perfect and everything is right there.

@tksjewelry: Thanks! I am so happy that Fiance loves it after visiting so many places in the summer that he didn’t really like. He has a thing for those purple chairs.

@Ms. Martian: Are you going to be staying there also, or do the spa? Seriously wish they had a place like that here. The only place that even came close only was half as nice and had half the stuff that yours does. That place just has it all in one package! So Jelly.

@tksjewelry: We’re lucky because Toronto has some amazing restaurants.
We will be staying at the hotel/spa since it only has 4 suites and they suggest that we rent them out so we can party all night without disturbing anyone. They’re a bit pricey ($325 each?) I’m totally asking for some sort of discount given how much we’re spending on the reception. I may do the spa, we’ll see if any one of the ladies want to take part.
Oh! And they have an in-house florist that is actually decently priced!
We didn’t even end up looking at any other restaurants because we liked this place so much. I had a list of about 30 in my spreadsheet that I had narrowed down to 3. It was between this place, Auberge du Pommier (also beautiful and the food is to die for but a bit too stuffy for us) and Canoe.
