I vaguely remember a book being suggested somewhere on the Bee that a lot of Bees recommended for couples. A friend of mine is struggling with her and her fiance’s different saving/spending habits and I’d like to suggest that book to her, but I just cannot remember the title. She just wants her fiance to understand the importance of saving for goals and budgeting for “fun” money, especially when they will be married. Thanks!

Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey is very popular. There’s even a 9 week once-a-week course called Financial Peace University that walks people/couples through the steps. I highly recommend both 🙂

Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover is one of the best books for money/finance. DH and I read it this summer at the insistance of a friend and our whole outlook on money and how we handle our finances has changed. I also downloaded and purchased a subscription to the Dave Ramsey Show iPhone app so that I can listen to his radio shows. He gives great advice and his Baby Steps to financial freedom are sound! Good luck to your friends. Changing spending habits can be a long, hard, frustrating process but completely worth it in the end!

I’ll definitely pass that one along, bees, thank you! I swore this book had a “FINANCES FOR COUPLES” ring to it…. hmmmm
