My e-ring is a tiffany style – very similar to the legacy with graduated side stones. Anyway, there is a “Bump” in the middle where the diamond is so the band cannot sit flush.
How have you ladies dealt with this? I guess i have a few options
1. get a straight band to wear separate
2. get a straight band to wear together even with the gap
3. have a custom band made to fit the bump.
I like the idea of having the option to just wear the band for when im being active, so the custom idea bothers me a bit. However, I don’t like the idea of having that gap. If i have a band just to wear separate i would feel like people will think im just engaged with only my e-ring on. So i guess there are pluses and minuses to all!!

Same problem here! I ended up just getting the straight band!

@beebee17: Here’s a really good thread from pricescope (has 4 pages to it)…it shows a ton of different wedding sets – stacked bands, curved bands, sets with gaps…might give you some ideas! I’m kinda dealing with the same thing – looking to get a 2nd band but my first band is contoured – so do I get another contoured band or go for something different even if it leaves a gap? Hmmm…oh the possibilities 🙂

You could also go the “stunt double” route. Quite a few bees (myself included) have an inexpensive band they wear instead of their set when they’re going to the gym and during other activities where they don’t want to risk their rings getting damaged. So you could have your wedding band custom made to fit against your e-ring with no gaps, and then find a reasonably priced straight stand-in band somewhere like overstock.com to wear in place of your set when you’re going to do something active. Just something to think about.

I vote to get a straight band, even with the gap. Personally, I like this look, as you can tell that they are TWO separate bands. Plus, you can choose to wear only your w-band if you are doing certain activities and no one will “question” your status. Plus, a straight non-contoured wedding band is SOOOO versatile and can last for your whole lifetime!
