When I did, I ended up getting all of the wives’ tales saying I was having a girl, and lo and behold – a girl was born. Although I wasn’t ready to have a girl first, we love her to pieces.

I tried the wedding ring test and it said boy, which turned out to be correct, but I suppose it was a 50-50 chance.

All the wives tales said boy. I had a girl 🙂

My best friend married into a Greek family. Some of the bitchy girls in the community told her that she was having a girl because she was uglier than usual. (Greeks say that when a mother is having a girl, she steals her mothers beauty while in the womb).  We laughed about it BUT she ended up delivering a little girl! Lol

I am a Sonographer(ultrasound tech) and I have found that all the wives tales out there about gender are very inaccurate, lol. Although they are fun! I don’t have kids yet, but when we do, I will be trying them all just for fun 🙂

A lot of the old wives tales and the Chinese calendar thing were accurate for me, but I don’t put any stock in them. The sonographer predicted girl at our 12 weeks scan based on nub theory and she was correct.
