That’s life, unfortunately. My daughter bought a king-sized bed, and the next day it was reduced by $300; they didn’t let her have the adjusted price. Her Mother-In-Law bought the same gown, for her wedding, that the best man’s girlfriend did (she ended up wearing it). They bought it around the same time, in different stores, and one was about half the price as the other. (Unfortunately, the pricier one was hemmed right away, so she couldn’t return it).

Clothing goes on sale.  The same dress for $30 has no value to you guys now.  That dress for $130 did have value before the wedding because you needed something then.  Even though the garment is the same, the value was more in having it ready to go for the wedding.  Consider it money spent on something that isn’t tangible, but was still worthwhile.

PABride:  She should fuss more about the price.  Damn!

peachacid:   Ordered online – all sales final policy. Still got a good deal. She learned about not checking on prices again, after the sale is final.

First rule of shopping:

“Stop looking after you have purchased, uness it’s still in the time period when you can get the price adjusted.”

I would find it more annoying of it wasn’t clothing. We expect clothing prices to be dropped as the season ends. But if you bought vases, linens etc and then the price was dropped, that would be more irritating.

Hahaha, I know what you mean, allyfally, there were a couple of things I searched high and low for before the wedding. And just things in our colors in general! After the wedding I swear they were everywhere I turned! Just today I decided to google the name of the woman who designed our invite suite for WPD and found there are all sorts of home goods with the design on them. I LOVE our invite design! So I’m planning to add several things to my birthday/Christmas list – throw pillows, maybe a duvet set, tea towels, and hope 🙂

allyfally:  Almost had this happen with my wedding dress. Bought it (on sale) for 1520 way back in March, in ivory. Now, in September, when I went back to look at Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, there was a dress in my size on sale for $800 but in white. I was pretty damn upset (the 1520 doesn’t include alterations!) but I really, really didn’t want a bright white dress, so at least mine is the right color for me. >.<
