@eseds: I haven’t tried any on yet, but I’m worried I’ll be that way. I have my first appointments in a few weeks and my mom is flying in to go with me. I really want my mom to be with me when I pick the dress, but I really feel like I’ll have to try a lot of dresses to find “the one” so I may have to do it without her.

@eseds: Not going to Kleinfeld’s on our first pass (no available appointments when I went to book 1 mo in advance). This time I will be going to RK bridal (taking a day off work since they don’t take appointments) and Saks.

RK has a ton of different designers whose styles I like and are in the $3,000 or less range. Sak’s seems to be more in the $3,000+ (and WAY +) range, but I want to see the difference in fabrics, detailing, etc on the dresses.

Only my mom is coming with me to both, unfortunately Future Mother-In-Law won’t be arround, and the appointment at Saks is only 1hr so my mom didn’t want me to invite one of my bridesmaids since we might be strapped for time.

After that I may try to make an appointment at Kleinfeld’s with one of my bridesmaids, but I don’t want to go there first as I’ve heard a lot about their “hard sell”.

Have you been anywhere in the city yet?

I felt the same way!  I tried on over fifty dresses, and then I took a trip to Kleinfeld.  I wanted to check out RK, but thankfully I didn’t have to.  I was a little nervous after I bought the dress and now I’m getting excited!

@eseds: I feel you! I haven’t been shopping yet but am 100% sure that i will be the same way, haha.  I am also hoping to avoid going to kleinfelds, but i’m sure it’s inevitable unless i can find a way to face my commitment phobia and pick a dress before i have to make that appointment 🙂

Right now, to me, it is a sea of white.

I’d take a break for a little bit, a week, two weeks, something so that you can go back fresh.

I never had “the feeling” about the dress.  Like you, I tried on a lot.  Probably 60 or so, at three different salons.

Eventually, I tried one I on that I liked, and we bought it that day.  I have never looked back.  I liked several dresses, and think that I probably would be happy in any number of them.  I just got tired of looking.  I love my dress though, so it worked out just fine.

That’s awesome!  I have read about how you couldn’t find a dress and I’m so excited for you!  Do you have a picture?  I think we all love to see each other in the dresses cause they always look better on a real person than a model! 🙂
