I have a wide range of gifts on our registries which include very inexpensive plates and stainless utensils to fine china and sterling silver. I’m curious to know if anyone received much of their fine china or silver as gifts? Our china is listed as open stock and my Future Mother-In-Law already purchased a few of our formal plates, but she also knows from my FH that I really love our china.
Do other guests buy china open stock? Our patterns for our formal china and silver are expensive (Bernardaud’s Constance and Towle’s Queen Elizabeth), but I took care to add plenty of inexpensive items too because of this. I’m totally fine collecting the pieces myself over the years, which we very well may end up doing. I’d love to hear from other brides-to-be and newlyweds what they experienced with their registries, especially whether they receive any of their fine china and silver!
