Today I received my ring from having the claws softened, from triangle to more pear shaped, but now I feel like I should have left them alone! This probably seems very nitpicky but I have an eagle eye and small details really do make huge differences to me.
It wouldn’t be a huge task to have them reverted if I was to choose the original style, so I’m not worried about that but I would first really appreciate your HONEST opinions on which claw shape YOU prefer. Am I being crazy? I’m newly engaged, but would like to have any final changes made sooner rather than later.
(P.S I do feel annoying, and I am sorry.. haha)

I think the triangle claws make the diamond look bigger oddly lol I like the triangle better but I would have never ever noticed unless you did this side by side picture comparison. its so sparkly 🙂 What does your fiance say?

I like the softer look of the pear claw better. There is something wrong with pokey triangle claw in my opinion

I like the softer, pear claws better. The triangle claws are a bit bigger which I feel detracts from the rest of the ring.

I really wanted to like the pear claws, but I have to say I far preferred the original claws 🙁

So I was finally able to show Fiance the difference (he was very busy at work) and he much prefers the pear claws! He says that they are what they were supposed to look like in the first place. I’,m still torn! :/ I do agree with you on the diamond looking a little bigger and I do feel like maybe the pear claws look a little, dare I say, “boring”…? :/
Me too! When I took them in to be softened, it was just because a couple of them were a little sharp. I just wanted to take the bite out of them, but I feel like he (the jeweller) did too
much to them… I wish the claws were in between the before and after!
Thanks ladies! Your input is definitely a help 🙂

The pointy prongs look like a wicked witch is violently grabbing your stone; the rounded prongs look normal, conjuring a softer, more romantic feel.

I literally cannot tell the difference! I didn’t even know claw shape was a thing?! Both ring pics look beautiful 🙂

Haha I had a good laugh at your comment!
Yes, haha that’s quite okay. You are blessed to not have my curse of seeing EVERY. LITTLE. DETAIL. :p Thank you

No one on God’s green earth will notice but you, so please yourself. If it will bug you, go back to the sharp one, but I think the pear is prettier and won’t snag as much. I’d give it a week and see how you feel then. Beautiful ring!

The claw prongs looked nicer in my opinion. Although it still looks nice with the new prongs.

Voted for pears. They support the style of the ring better imo

I totally get what you mean by a happy medium between the two, but if I had to pick, I’d chose the pear prongs. The triangles are just TOO sharp.

I like the pear shaped a bit better.. The first ones just looked too bulky to me. An Inbetween would have been okay too..

I can’t really tell much of a difference.
