I know how you feel, “they” had to drag me to go too!  I went to one store, a private salon, and bought 2nd dress I tried on…and I still love it.  I think the sales person makes all the difference, and mine was a horse chic, so we hit it off just great!  You might turn out to not hate it, I was shocked myself!

@nmsoonerbride:  Hey there….Not sure what part of Colorado you’re going to, but I’m a full-figured gal and had an awesome experience at Celestial Bride in Denver.  I know one of the other gas on here got their dress there too.  In any case, you will find one that makes you look gorgeous…I promise!!!!  Good luck 🙂

I’m sure you’ll be fine. I did the same thing with my Maid/Matron of Honor, only we premedicated with margarita’s, we actually had a hoot.

Just one word of caution, dont be too disappointed with the Maggie Sottero Trunk Show, I was all gung ho and geared up for luck, only to discover that often the dresses that available for the trunk show are…ahem..smaller sizes.

Yes they are more forgiving because they lace up. But seriously? the largest size was a six. Bwaaa haaa haaa thats funny…not.

Davids has some GORGEOUS dresses now in tons of sizes. GORGEOUSSSSS.

Let us know how it goes 🙂

Good Luck! YOu will get into it as soon as you try on the first dress. DO not get discourage that sample sizes are a 2. Use your imagination. I bought my dress and I tried on a size 6 (wouldnt even go over my head!!!) but the sales lady got it on me (i couldnt breatheeeeeee) and i used my imagination and bought the lil one on my profile pic =) makes me smile whenever i see it and i get it in my size in about one and a half weeks!!

Good Luck!

I went to DB last night with my mom and we had a TERRIBLE experience. If the girl who helped us has been working there for more than a week, she honestly needs to be fired. She couldn’t make any recommendations beyond “you’ll need a plus size” for me. My biggest problem is that I am a size 22 on top and 16 on bottom. She couldn’t even clip the dress to make the bottom fit and had the nerve to ask my mother to lace up a corseted dress. She kept saying “well of course it doesn’t fit because your boobies are so big!”

Needless to say, we left without liking anything and are going to a local bridal salon tonight to see if we fare any better.
