The ring Fiance proposed with is beautiful, but really big on me. It’s a size 8 and I wear a 7. I tried those plastic ring things, but meh, I don’t like the feel.
So I dropped my ring off earlier at an in house custom jeweler. The benefit is that they will have it done today. I’ll pick it up on my way home from work. Plus it’s only $30 so it isn’t crazy expensive.
Oh well, in the meantime, my poor ring finger feels naked, and I’ve only worn it since Sunday lol.
Anyone else get REALLY attached to wearing their ring immediately?

Not immediately no. I actually felt really weird wearing it at first. But after a while it really does feel like my hand is missing something when I don’t have it on.

I felt the same when we first got engaged, but it took two weeks to get mine resized! On our honeymoon whenever we went to the beach I would leave my rings in the hotel room, and always felt empty without them. I should buy a cheap stand-in ring for future holidays!

Not really. I take my e ring off a lot (not currently wearing it now) because I work with my hands and I do notice that it’s missing but I definetly don’t miss it. I cannot wait till I get married and can switch to a band permently

We’re all so different in our feelings about our rings. I’ve never worn a ring before, but I love wearing it.
Totally worth getting it resized. I recommend Bishop Jewelry in Dallas for anyone looking for quick and easy ring resizing. Dropped it off at 11 and picked it up at 5.
The first few shops I called either had to send it out, or had long waits. They made it quick and easy and it’s much more comfy now that it fits better.

my ring was 2 sizes too big when I got it, but the jewellery here takes at least a week for sizing so I wore a bandaid on my finger to make the ring fit for about a month before I finally took it in to be sized because I just didn’t want to not have ot for a week right after getting it. I get you.

Hahah I can relatte! I had to resize my ring and I chose a jeweler that could do it in a day. He said I could pick it up at 1pm (dropped off at 9am).
I spent time walkng around the block until 12, then I went in to say I was “casually passing by” and wondering if my ring was ready. THANK GOODNESS IT WAS! Hahah I felt so naked without it! 😛

Oh definitely lol I had to have my engagement and stand in wedding ring resized at the same time. I hated not wearing them. Probably have to have my wedding ring we just got brought up by half a size as well but I may just hold off until after baby so I could just have it done once instead of twice. Less time without is better for me lol

Yes! I tried simply not wearing my ring to yoga and the gym and the barn, but I was acutely aware that it was missing, so I purchased a Qalo silicone ring for those situations and I feel much better now. I even have the stereotypical white dent where my ring goes. I feel like its because the setting is platinum and heavy, and when I don’t have it on it feels like my hand is way too light! I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like when I am wearing my stack of rings after the wedding.

It really hit me the first time after we got maried, when I had to take my ring in to have it all sit flush with my wedding ring wrap. I was without it for 4 days and it was horrible LOL

Actually, since I don’t wear jewelry, it sometimes feels like it’s still on after I’ve taken it off. O_o I dunno lol
My ring took no getting used to, though, it’s really comfortable. 1.3mm half pave band, often times don’t really notice it. I’ve had it 5 days. Lol

Yes. I had to get my ring sized down from a 5 to a 4.5 and it took about a week. I felt so naked that I got a cheapo stand-in ring to help me fill the void lmao. It was bad. Poor FH just laughed at me, though I can’t say I blame him! 😂
I’m going to have to do it all again as we recently decided to get our rings engraved. Can’t wait! /s
