My fiance and I are currently planning an evening ceremony (7 pm) which means we won’t be eating until even later than that. Because of this, we’re planning on providing light refreshments for our wedding guests (this is a common thing where we’re from). What are your favorite finger foods? Anything we should keep in mind?
We’re just trying to make up a list of foods, for our caterer, to get prices ๐
Thanks so much bees!!

Anything wrapped in a croissant/crescent. Little hot dogs, spinach dip (spanakopita?), whatever. Mmmm. I also like deviled eggs, mozzarella sticks, and bruschetta. But I’ll eat pretty much anything that isn’t primarily fish or mushroom based. ๐

@Marlisle016: Anything that involves a crostini! Anything with cheese.
Huge fan of those mini grilled cheese sandwiches. Brie and Fig is also a winner in my book.

Pretty much bacon wrapped anything (shrimp and asparagus are my faves), mozzarella sticks, spinach puffs, little pizza squares, fried ravioli, mini quiches, egg rolls, stuffed mushrooms, chicken quesadillas, steak skewers, deviled eggs, a fruit/veggie platter
For dessert, cheesecake squares and chocolate covered strawberries!! And wedding cake, of course ๐

We are having “tasting” apps during our cocktail hour. We are doing all of them ourselves, so we are sticking with items we can make ahead and keep cold [no hot items].
All of the items will be displayed in fancy mini bowls/plates.
Also, it’s worth noting that our families are pretty sheltered/not willing to try alot of “differant” foods, so we tried to americanize our apps the best we could.
Here is what we are doing :
Differant types of veggies & dip :
carrot strips, brocolli, & celery w/ dip
celery w/ peanut butter

Strawberry Angel Food Cake Kabobs :

Chocolate mousse :

Mini 7 layer dips [will displayed on plates with chips]

Waffle Cone Fruit Mixes

Mini yogurt parfaits
[assorted flavors & toppings]

And lastly, an assortment of finger sandwiches

I second the veggies and dip and fruit cups. That’s pretty universally loved. Crostini are great too! Bacon wrapped dates stuffed with bleu cheese are a fav of mine.

I went to a wedding and one of their finger foods was sooo good I still make it to snack on at home. They had little mini slices of rye bread with cream cheese spread on them and then they sprinkled lemon pepper and dill on it and then topped it all off with a cucumber slice. Its sooo good!

Spanakopitas, bruschetta, prosciutto and melon, pumpernickel with spinach dip, fresh fruit. There are too many to list. Finger foods are my #1 favorite part of a wedding.
