My ring size is 3.75 in winter and around 4.25 (I guess) in summer. I think that’s a huge difference. Currently I’m wearing 3.75 size and its so tight in summer that it starts hurting and I go through a lot of trouble if I even try to take it off….my knuckles become red and swollen. If I resize I’m scared it will be too loose in winter again. Any ideas how I can deal with this?

Wow! Drink lots of water and watch your sodium intake, that should help. When I’m well hydrated my ring is so loose, but if I eat a really salty meal, haven’t been drinking enough water, its super hot, etc then it gets tight and gross – kind of makes me feel like i’m having a “fat” day. ugh, I hate it.

Sometimes I can’t get mine off either. But I’d rather them be tighter than looser. Try running your finger under cold water. Then glide it off in a circular motion. It works for me.

yeah I have the same issue. I cannot wear e-rig during winter becasue it would fall out and cannot wear wedding ring during summer casue it would be too tight – well my issue is easy to solve: seasonal rings yey. In my case I cannot even resize my e-ring.
Get a 2nd ring?
I wouldn’r resize becasue you will have to rezize every six month and that would ba a pain.

I have this problem too, to a HUGE extent. My finger can vary from a size 4 to 5!
I am probably going to solve this by having my wedding ring sized a bit larger (4.75, as it’s a thick band) and then having a snug size 4 stand-in for those winter days where I really think my ring’s going to fall off!

Glad this isn’t just me! I’ve been debating getting it sized down but then I go outside and its 100 degrees in Texas and then think that’s a bad idea.

I have that problem too with my promise ring. I think it’s the equivalent of an American size 3.5 while I could probably wear a size 3. I usually don’t have a problem with the ring being a little loose but when my hands get very cold my fingers shrink quite a bit so I wear my ring on my right hand for security, the fingers there are a little larger for some reason. Maybe your could try that?

could you have it sized up, but have them put little sizing beads in it?

@saldanha84: I’m kind of in the same boat you are. My e-ring is a 4, but in the winter it’ll spin and makes me want to have it sized down, but it in the summer it fits just right but if I’m doing a lot of phsyical acitivty, it can get a bit tighter. If it’s that tight in the summer for you, it sounds like you might need to wear a 4. From there, you can consider getting sizing beads and that might make it perfect. I have larger knuckles, so I never have the fear of it falling off my finger. So my thought is slightly loose in the winter, slightly tighter in the summer means the size is just right for me. If it were perfect in the winter and too tight in the summer, I’d size up, and if it was too loose in the winter and perfect in the summer, I’d size down. Does that help?

@saldanha84: Size up and get a ring guard. You can put it on for the winter and take it off for the summer.
ETA: Here’s mine. You can push the bar up or down to change the sizing or completely remove it, but then I don’t know if you could still reinstall it or if you’d have to buy a new one. But I LOVE it. And when it’s on I can’t see it.

@PaisleyMedic: The only thing about the beads is that they’re always there. If you get a ring guard like (www.viewithere.com) you could put it on and remove it your self. Not that you’d want to do that daily, but once a year wouldn’t be so bad. I have one, it’s comfortable.

@jadlnc: i tried one of these on my solitare band and it slid all around and scratched it up. your setting is perfect for anti sliding. im jealous
@saldanha84: i have the same issue. sometimes at night my fingers really swell up but during the day they shrink. i also have big knuckles and smaller fingers so that’s another issue in itself. i use a ring snuggie: http://www.amazon.com/Ring-Guard-EZsizer-1-Narrow-1-Medium/dp/B007PWSZOO/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1372384309&sr=8-8&keywords=ring+snuggie
I’m using this until i decide whether or not to resize. this would only help you if you decide to size your ring up. i know how frustrating this is though.

@McBezel: Ah, I never even thought about that! Damn. I guess I do just have the right ring for it.
