I’m looking for some really gorgeous high-quality opera length bridal gloves that I don’t have to take off during the ceremony (i.e. fingerless). My dress doesn’t have any bling on it so I could stand to have some beading or lace, but I’d prefer that they’re not completely lace. All I see are inexpensive ones ($35 or less) that seem like they’d look cheap in real life or Caroline Amato’s http://www.carolinaamato.com/gloves_bridal.html that I love but aren’t fingerless except for the all lace ones. I’m about to try a custom order on Etsy. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I personally would go with finger gloves, cut a slit on the ring finger to place the ring on. In my opinion, I am not sure if the fingerless gloves have the elegance that it sounds like you are going for. However, you should be able to find some really inexpensive gloves in a Halloween store because of Halloween. Last year I bought a pair of black ones for $18.

You can always just slip the ring over the gloves 🙂 I know of at least one couple who did that!

They make gloves that the ring finger unbuttons and comes off temporarily so that you can put the rings on. You might look into that.

Crebre, the more I think about it, the more I tend to agree with you.
Thanks zippylef, I have no idea how to look for those, but it’s ingenious and I’ll try to find some. Edit: I found them, they’re called mousquetaire. Thanks for the idea!
