If you want to wear it but not as jewelry, you could always pin it somewhere on your dress. Alternatively, pin it on your bouquet?

I am considering incorporating a locket my grandfather gave my grandmother on their wedding day by tying it to my bouquet with ribbon.

wathenwedding17 :  I understand. I have the same concerns especially because I would need to transport the locket across the country for our elopement.  Could the charm be attached to your necklace somehow?

wathenwedding17 :  Ah, I didn’t realize that you didn’t want the charm visible, rather to have it on you.  In that case I think the easiest thing you could do without compromising your bridal look or compromising the charm itself is to pin it to the inside of your gown. Maybe right inside the bust so its near your heart?

I definitely think you could attach it to the clasp! My sister did a similar thing
