Fingerprint guest book

We had the tree print at our wedding (I hate thinking of something to write in guest books, haha) We put some wet wipes on the table with the print and inks so people could wipe the ink off. It’s a nice reminder to have in the house that we see all the time rather than a book we wouldn’t look at.

I’m not really a fan of getting ink on my fingers while wearing a nice dress personally.

I like the idea, and how it looks, but my top 3 reasons why I wouldn’t do it (me personally):

1- ink. even if you give me a wet wipe and I’m careful, some random child or messy adult could still mess up my clothing

2- you’re not going to know whose fingerprints are whose, which defeats the purpose of a guest book / object (unless they write on the “tree” which will defeat the leafy look of just prints)

3- your tree could look a little sparse if guests don’t participate or forget to, etc.

At the end of the day though, it’s your wedding and guest ‘book’ so you should do what you want. I like PP’s suggestions to have an attendant at the table with the ink though. I’m imagining some terrible child with fingers full of ink just running around tagging people. *shudders*
