Good luck! When I had the inlaws over for turkey, I made roasted veggies in the oven while the turkey cooked – they were a huge hit!

I love cooking turkeys. i have done our Thanksgiving turkey for 6 years or so. I think they are pretty easy and I love the left overs! Way to go, I am sure it really did impress your in laws!
