I would say get 10 extra screens…you might need 7 for your invites alone and they only come with 3 I think…or 2.

Me and FI’s hilarious conversation via work email yesterday:

Dani: (Subject line: Gocco – the coolest machine ever.)  <span style=”font-size: 12pt; font-family: ‘Times NewRoman'”><font face=”Arial” size=”2″ color=”#0000ff”><span style=”font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial”>http://www.weddingbee.com/2007/10/22/save-the-date-5/#more-37427</font&gt;  Here’s the link.  Let me know what you think. (It’s the link from Miss Penguins tutorial on her STD Magnets)

Dave: It’s pretty much what I thought it would be… it’s cool, but I still don’t see the point!  Do you know how much work that is???

Dani: Hah!  Do you have any idea how AWESOME our invitations and paper-related things would look?!!

Dave: Yah, yah, yah.  Still, totally not worth it!

Dani: Oh whatever.  You’re just Debbie Downer, aren’t you?!  Looks like I’m going to have to spend hundreds of dollards on Microsoft Publisher and Visio, and Adobe Illustrator.  Plus spend more hundreds on a printer and boatloads of ink.  Great job Debbie… you dug a hole you can’t get out of.  (unless, of course, you tell me I can get this awesome machine )

Dave: Hey, you go ahead and buy it if you want it.  With how simple the invitations will look you could make them in Microsoft OFFICE.  Or, if you really wanted all of those software programs, we could get them and the access codes for FREE off limewire.  And as far as the printer goes… we could just go to Kinkos.

If you really want it, get it.  I know how much you like doing projects and stuff for Ella’s books so you’ll probably use it a lot.  Don’t try and use our wedding to guilt me into stuff.

Seriously, I think you would have a lot of fun with the thing and it would make some pretty unique invitations… if you want it, get it!!!

Dani: I love you, babe.  I need to stop at Wal-Fart on the way home and pick up our Christmas cards.  See you at home

Dave: How did that just happen?!!  (I saw this email when I got to work this morning)

Moral of the story… make him laugh and you’ll get what you want!  I did!

I got my PG-5 kit from feltcafe on etsy.com.  I was $150 with shipping.  Even though it comes from japan it gets over here very fast.  Liz is very nice nd very helpful! Happy Goccoing!
