I am torn between which style of veil to wear. My wedding gown is a ballroom style gown with a full skirt and catherdral train. The bodice is covered in beadwork and crystals with a champagne organza ribbon which connects the bodice to the skirt. The ribbon is repeated on the hem of the gown and the some of the beadwork is repeated on the train. It is a pretty formal gown. I am really leaning toward the cathedral veil, but I don’t want to overdo it on the accessories. I for sure am ordering a single layer veil so my beadwork is still visible in the back. What do you bees think? Fingertip or cathedral? I was always told the more formal the dress and longer the train, the longer the veil…

Can you post a photo? It was really helpful for me to try on several length veils during one of my fittings. I have a lot of detail at my waist so I opted for a fingertip instead of an elbow, which would add a sheath of coverage over everything rather than adding more "busy-ness" at my waist. It sounds like you have a lot of detail all over so maybe the catherdral will be better.

Here is my dress–please keep in mind that it’s too big and will be taken in as I’ve been losing weight like crazy!

If you check out my post of my dress you will see a fingertip veil on me and its a long train as well…but Im going with a fingertip one layered veil so the beading and cute buttons can be seen. I think a fingertip veil would be beautiful on you. The dress is beautiful.
