I suppose if you haven’t heard anything in a week, you can follow up and say “Please confirm you have recieved and reviewed this correspondance” and if you have the capability with your email, put a read receipt on it.

Maybe send a letter by registered mail, return receipt required?

futuremrs-s :  If you send it with the read receipt, it proves that she opened the email and when. I  think you will have all your bases covered.

It took our photographer a month to respond to my e-mails, after which I fired him (not just because of the lack of response, but there was a whole bunch of issues going on), and he went on to accuse me of being crazy and irrational lol.

However, it’s only been 2 days. I would give it a week max and if you haven’t heard back, send a follow-up email with read receipt and/or a letter through registered mail. the last thing you want is to be on the line for the full cost if she claims she never received your correspondence.

I deal with clients a lot via email and I always try to respond in a timely manner, however I would give it a week.  You have the proof of when the email was sent so I would think that would cover you if she tries to be shady about it.
