Ooh a secret dinner! Normally I’d say that smells like an engagement, but I think it’s too late for that. And recreating your wedding dinner? That’s very creative. What was it?
Are you also buying him a separate anniversary gift?

We had a duet plate of filet mignon and pesto seabass (our favorites!). I’ll have to go back to the photos for a proper breakdown of sides and the salad… 😀
No separate anniversary gift ideas yet, but I’ll probably do something paper related. 4 day weekend ahead for me, so maybe I’ll spend some time creating something!
What about you? Gift plans?

I did buy a separate gift. I still need to pick up a card, though. I figured since our 3 day escape all happens before our actual anniversary I could get a little something to gift him on the real day along with going out to dinner.
I ordered a large world map from an etsy seller so we can start pinning all the places we’ve been or maybe the ones we want to visit. Not sure how we’ll use it yet, but I like the idea. I used to work at an office that had a map like this and the owner would put in a pin every time he saw a patient from a new location from around the world.

Okay ladies I wanted to come back here and do a quick recap! We pretty much did as described. I loved the wine train, I thought it was super romantic even if the food was mediocre. Hot air ballooning was really cool. We LOVED Castello di Amorosa and it was by far our favorite, probably just because it’s so fun and less stuffy/serious. We bought a couple bottles there. We also stopped in V Sattui and Robert Mondavi and just felt meh about them. Horseback riding was awesome, and Darling Husband also bought a new stunt kite which we got to take for a spin on the beach. Overall it was a fantastic time. And I got a brand new silver and sapphire necklace!
We’re going out to a nice dinner tonight with my parents who are visiting from Florida.
@pengoala: How did your anniversary weekend go!? And happy day of anniversary!
