Hi Ladies!
December 1st is my DH and I’s first wedding anniversary. I’ve been wracking my brains trying to think of something meaningful I cuold get him- with Christmas just around the corner, I can save all the less sentimental gifts for that. Since it is technically the “paper” anniversary I had come up with the idea of getting him a really nice bible- with the idea that it could be our first family heirloom- ie he could give it to one of our kids some day, plus he would have a nice bible to use when does some of the services at church (he occasionally co-hosts our services). Anyway- I wasn’t sure what everyone thought of this idea? Any other Christian wives out there have any ideas on where I could get this bible? I want it to be nice, but not “gawdy”. Help!!!!
Thanks!

I love that idea!
We just got married, but I’m already starting to think about our paper anniversary gift. I’m thinking concert tickets or tickets to a sporting event he’d like to see. I love the idea of the Bible though and being able to pass it down in the family!

@adoc86: Thank you! 🙂 I got him Eagles tickets as a wedding gift- (football, haha not the band) and I always default to buying him sports things so I was trying to think a bit outside the box. Now I just have to find a good bible… I am thinking NIV or some similar version since it’s the most contemporary but not too contempary.

@emily.doss: Oh that’s wonderful! I wanted to get my hubby an NASB Study Bible as a wedding gift. I didn’t order it in time, so now it’s going to be his Christmas Present!

My Dreamlines is my gift of choice now. My husband gave me a sketch of my wedding dress. My brother gave this to his wife for their one year. I give it as wedding gifts. Great little company with pretty great talent.
