This pasta salad recipe is excellent! However, I do double the dressing when I make it.

Nona99: Cowboy caviar (salsa) easy and one of my fav
2 cans black beans drained rinsed
2 cans black eyes peas drained rinsed
2 cans of yellow corn drained rinsed
1 small diced red onion
3-4 celery stalks sliced
3-4 diced bell peppers
1/2 cup cilantro
Marinade: 1 c oil
2 c apple cider vinegar
1 c sugar
.5 tbs salt
.5 tbs pepper
Combine salsa ingredients in large bowl
combine marinade ingredients on the stove and heat till sugar dissolves. let cool
once marinade is cool pour over salso
marinade overnight and drain the next day
serve with chips or anything!
Dessert:
4.5 cups flour
4 sticks butter room temp
1.5 c brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups nuts, pecans or walnuts
18 oz. o respberry jam: i used just plain berries, once with cranberrys, once with blueberries, once with frozen raspberries
.5 c oats
.5 c coconut
preheat to 350 grease 9 by 13 in pan
combine flour butter sugars eggs and nuts until ctumbly. if you miz too long it will become cookie dough. but will taste fine 😉
press all but about 2.5 c of the crumbs into the bottom . spread jam or berries (usually add some sugar to berries)
add the cup of oats to the top. . bake for about 35 min. sprinkle coconut over top then return to oven for 20 more min.
i got a lot of raves over this simple bar recipe!
BBQ failure so far.. my one and only. haha. I was a youngin, camping and drunk. cooked some chicken for everyone and didnt wait long enough. i didnt care and started eating the chicken. yeah it wasnt really cooked that well.. at all. but i lived!! hehe my friends gave me shit about eating raw chicken for years! I was almost to embarred to tell you that but hope you got a laugh out of it.
