Take an Advil (or similar) about an hour beforehand.  And pick up some aloe at the drugstore, its helpful for later in the day if you are still feeling a lot of…sensation.  (My waxer refuses to call it pain, LOL)

And just keep breathing.  It’s not so bad!

I’ve been getting brazilians since I was 18! The first time is the worst, but it becomes a piece of cake after that. A few tips for you…

Take a couple of ibuprofen beforehand. It’s an anti-flammatory and will help minimize discomfort.

Wear loose fitting clothes (workout pants, a sundress, or a skirt) to your appointment. The last thing you want to do is put on a tight pair of jeans after you’ve just been waxed!

Lastly – remember to breathe and stay calm. You will love the end results. Beauty is pain! ๐Ÿ™‚

oh annnnnd, the most important is to pick a good place to go. Read tonnes of reviews and ensure the waxer is someone uber experienced. It makes a HUGE difference who is waxing you…

I’m not going to lie. It hurts like HELLO! But it’s so worth it. Take a few ibuprofin, and if they have anything that helps stop ingrown hairs that’ll be good too.

Not gonna lie…it hurts like a !%&* but it’s amazing afterwards! Lasts way longer than waxing. No pain, no gain! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well, pain is a very relative thing, but I got my first Brazilian wax without having ever had anything else waxed, and I coped pretty well, or at least the waxer said so… she may have been being nice, I don’t know. ๐Ÿ™‚ I did take a couple of ibuprofen about half an hour beforehand, which I suspect was helpful. One thing I wish I’d done was wear a skirt so I didn’t have to put jeans on afterwards! Which wasn’t terrible, just not ideal.

This one should be a no brainer….but dont go when on your period! Trust me, some women do. But a salon I used to go to, and and the one I go now they tell women to “please schedual your wax around your time of the month”. One waxer I go to has told me women try to have them done on their “special time”, shes a woman too, but she said its plain gross, and it will be more painful.

I’m getting my first wax.. not a brazilian, but in between a bikini and brazilian, next weekend!! I agree with these ladies! I’ve been reading up on it a lot. Don’t go on your period… watch caffeine beforehand… take some ibuprofen before… all of that good stuff!
