I finished up my last pack of BCP at the beginning of February in preparation of TTC later this year (August-ish.) Well, here we are, a month after I’ve had my last cycle (that one was still, obviously, pill related) and I still have nothing.
(This is probably a little Too Much Information but…)
Last week I was spotting a little bit–nothing dramatic–for about two-three days. We’ve been using condoms every.single.time to prevent getting that bun going a bit too early, but I’m so confused!
I know that getting of BCP can make everything a little unorganized, so my question is, how long did it take for your cycles to regulate? Should I be concerned? I’m so paranoid -___- Any input would be fabulous!

I went about 3-3.5 months without a real period after the last pill period with spotting or light flow every 2-3 weeks. After stopping the pill in Sept, my frist real period was in Jan. I’ve only had one cycle since then, but it was more of mynormal cycle time of about 5-6 weeks.

@pinkshoes: That scares me. I hope it gets back into a rhythm soon so that this summer we aren’t playing a guessing game when we start TTC.

I have no idea, I will be in the same situation in about 3 weeks…I’m posting to follow this thread….I think everyone is different. I hope it doesn’t take me too long to get back to normal…

I was on BCP for 15 years. Took two months to get the first AF and my cycles were still off after that. Third cycle I got my BFP but from talking with friends it sometimes takes awhile for your hormones to regulate.

I just went off my BCP a couple weeks ago and I had AF for a full 6 days. I don’t know if that is considered just the standard withdrawl bleeding or an actual period. Started charting so I guess we shall see. Hopefully you get some good responses because I am curious too.

Everyone is different. I came off in June. I got AF 29 days later. My cycles have ranged from 26-35 days since. So I regulated immediately. I was on BC for over 10 years. In saying that though, we are on our 9th cycle TTC and still no BFP. So don’t get too discouraged. Once AF comes, I highly suggest temping and charting so once you are ready to TTC, you know your body better.

I just stopped my pill on Saturday so I’m also posting to see what others have experienced. Getting a little scared, though. I do not want to wait a couple months for AF!

I was on the pill for 15 or so years. I got my last period on the pill period December 15th. I got my first off the pill period on January 15th and it was vicious – cramps, six days, the whole 9 yards. In February, I got in on the 18th, cycle day 35. Now I’m on cycle day 22, and I’m charting, but don’t seem to have Od yet. It’s definitely wonky coming off the pill.

I’m in the same boat! I was on the BCP for 11years, went off at the end of jan. I am not sure if I o’d or not since I didn’t bother charting the first month, but my cycle was definitely long! AF didn’t show up for 36 days. And now that she is here se is being a giant B!! Suddenly remembering the horrible periods that caused me start BCP in the first place 🙁 hoping things don’t take too long to regulate as well!
