So here’s the deal…
My fiance and I are NOT dancers. Our families insist on us having a first dance, and while I can’t dance and the thought of it frightens me, I think it’s an important part of the reception. Along with the father daughter (which father will be replaced with uncle) and mother son dance.
So we’re stuck. We looked up how to dance for a wedding and saw a bunch of waltz’s and such and that’s just not us. It would be uncomfortable awkward and just plain bad. So I don’t know what to do.
What are you doing for your first dance song? We have rythm so that’s not the problem, problem is we just don’t dance and the thought makes both of us nervous. And any tips on making it nice and not corny/boring/cookie cutter as some call it? Our wedding is traditional but very laid back and casual so it probably shouldn’t be super fancy, seeing how the wedding is outside and all.
Also any tips on first dance songs? We are both into rock music, punk, progressive, grunge, emo (me) screamo, just general rock music. Any rock song tips and dance tips?
