AmberWithWings :  Holding your train while dancing doesn’t sound fun.  Is there a reason you don’t want to bustle your dress until after the dance?

I’m going to hold my train for the first dance. Have it looped round your wrist to start the dance then let it slide to your elbow, you’ll be fine doing the turns, the weight of it will keep it close to your body 🙂

I did! My wedding was Saturday and I paid $70 to have an emergency bustle put on the day before the wedding. Half way through the reception, one of the bustles broke off from my tuelle and I ended up carrying a lor of my dress.

Was it ideal? No.

Did I mind much? No, drunk with didn’t mind much at all 😂

bustle before the dance and just be careful – practice your dance with a long dress on at the very least (I used an old bride maid dress and then we did one “dress rehearsal” with me in a gown covered in a sheet/hippie skirt/old super baggy t-shirt (yes I looked like a total fool) and then we did one more day of while we were waiting to be introduced

AmberWithWings :  just make sure your practice space is clean! you don’t want to get your gown dirty before you even “wear” it
