Meglin :  my friend did this and she regrets picking such a short song because the photographer didn’t get enough photos during the first dance so keep that in mind…

VintageGirl1020 :  I think that’s a reflection of the photographer and not the song!!

Meglin :  My cousins used it for their wedding and it was cute and it described their relationship.  So if it describes the two of you, go for it.

VintageGirl1020 :  The attention span of most people is about 90 seconds, you don’t want to go longer.

Our first dance was to “Grow Old With You” but we used a cover as opposed to Adam Sandler’s original. This was pretty much the only request that Darling Husband had for our wedding – he has sung this song to me ever since we started dating (9.5 years by the time we got married) whenever he’s feeling silly or even sometimes to get out of trouble (as he knows it makes me laugh), so it had real sentimental meaning to us.

There are also a few acoustic covers you could use if you wanted to have the spirit of the song, and you could cut them to run longer than the length in the movie.

I LOVE IT! The Wedding Singer is one of my favorite movies, as well as my family’s favorite movie.

Ummm my top 3 right now are an NSYNC song, A Whole New World from Alladin or Michael Buble’s All I Want for Christmas (our wedding is in March). Soooooooo it’s pretty hard to make me think a first dance song choice is cheesy lol

Do it!

It will be adorable and cheesy!!!

We used it for the song I walked down the aisle to. Both our families loved it!
